MarSlovak Coevolvers in arctic Utsjoki
The Slovak Globe team participated in the Coevolvers meeting in Utsjoki, Finland. Our team was represented by Tatiana Kluvánková (IFE SAS).
The meeting focused on key practical outcomes of the entire project, with discussions revolving around Key Exploitable Results (KER), actionable knowledge, and the development of a toolkit of the methods and approaches for the cocreation of NBS. We presented our co-developed concept of the Reconfiguration process and preliminary results from the application of the Virtual Nature Tool in the Beskydy Living Lab. Additionally, participants worked on strategy and coordination for the preparation of academic papers. Consortium members welcomed the opportunity to explore the surrounding arctic nature and its connection to local culture, as well as the environmental challenges faced by the region. They learned about issues caused by the expansion of non-native salmon species and the complexities involved in finding solutions of this problem for the cross-border Finnish-Norwegian communities along the Teno/Tana River.
