Nov60th Anniv. of the Institute of Lowland Forestry & Environment
The 15th INTERNATIONAL PHYTOTECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE with CONFERENCE SESSION ”HOW TO ADVANCE FORESTRY FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS” took place from 1st to 5th November in Novi Sad, Serbia. The Conference session was dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the foundation of the Institute of Lowland Forestry and Environment.
Department of Plant Ecophysiology collaborates with Institute of Lowland Forestry and Environment from 2015. Since then, several significant studies have emerged from collaboration. Currently, Director of Institute of Forest Ecology SAS Dr. Ditmarová Ľubica and the Director of Institute of Lowland Forestry and Environment-ILFE Prof. Dr. Orlović Saša sign a Memorandum of Cooperation. That’s why it is a great honor for us to take part in the celebration of 60th Anniversary of the foundation of the Institute of Lowland Forestry and Environment. Representatives from the Department of Plant Ecophysiology: Jamnická Gabriela, Ježík Marek and Pšidová Eva, on this occasion presented the results of the extensive study, on which they also cooperated with Dr. Srdjan Stojnić from Institute of Lowland Forestry and Environment. The scope of the Conference was to provide the answers to the most important challenges in forestry science, taking into account the global climate causing significant changes in forest ecosystems, change due to human activities, as well as the occurence, establishment and spread of new invasive pathogens, and pests. Experts in various disciplines in the spheres of forestry, biology, ecology and environment were exchange their experience, new knowledge, all in the aim of attaining the millennium goals related to forestry.
